Professor Sapra will talk about the costs and benefits of accounting transparency, and the implications of increasing transparency for firms and the financial markets? He will describe his new research on how providing transparent information to shareholders can create misleading information for supervisors who are interested in stability.

Featured Speaker Professor Sapra studies the real effects of accounting measurement policies, disclosure regulation, and corporate governance.
