Dear [First Name],

A year ago today, no one had an inkling a pandemic in 2020 would lead to The Great Disruption that halted economies around the world. Infrastructure, which is an area of fast growth in the Asia-Pacific, a necessity to underpin growth in this region was not spared. After a period of pause at the height of the health emergency earlier this year, financing infrastructure should resume with an even greater focus on infrastructure that incorporates resiliency.

Our infrastructure story this month, Infrastructure Finance Pauses to Clear Way for New Projects, highlights this trend as we honour The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards with a focus on renewables, social, health projects. This month’s issue also feature ESG and Islamic finance. At The Asset Events+ webinar, we hear from the chief investment officer of Malaysia’s Employees Provident Fund, one the world’s largest institutional funds with over US$216 billion of assets under management, on its approach to ESG investing.

Kind regards,
